Octopus IPA editor can modify the global settings of the editor according to personal preference, including general settings, shortcut settings, execution settings and version settings. Each setting item is set with a default value, which can be adjusted and modified. After the change, it will take effect after the editor is restarted.

1、 General settings

It is used to set the most commonly used operations of the editor, including recently opened folders, automatic saving interval, automatic startup after startup, and system notification.
The number of recently opened files affects the number of data displayed in the recently opened list on the home page. The default is 50.

•Auto save interval, is the interval setting for automatically saving the editing process of the editor, that is, how often the system automatically saves when editing an application or component. The default is 30 seconds. You can select 20 seconds or 10 seconds.

•Power on auto start softwareThat is, whether the factory editor is automatically started when the computer is turned on. The default is off.

•System notification, set whether to enable the execution result notification in the lower right corner when debugging the process in the factory editor. The default is on.

 

2、 Shortcut key settings

For common operations in the system, shortcut keys can be set globally to improve use efficiency. For detailed functions in the product, shortcut keys can be set separately during use. The general part includes three shortcut keys: run, stop and forced exit. Modifiable.

3、 Execution settings

It is used to set the running item of process application, which affects the running time of application in factory editor debugging and BOT running. Each field can also be set separately in the options of each component. When the value set separately by the component conflicts with the value set globally by the home page, the value set separately by the component shall prevail. The set values include pre execution delay, post execution delay and component execution timeout.

•Pre execution delay, which refers to how long the current component waits first when running

•Post execution delay, which refers to how long the current component will wait for the next action after running

•Component execution timeout, which refers to how long the current component can repeat the attempt when it executes an exception

 

4、 Version information

Display the version information of the current system, and carry out version detection and update. The current version information includes the product version and the engine version. After clicking detect version, the system will perform version detection and the version detection results will be displayed. If a new version is released, the new version information will appear, and you can click Install update; If the detection is the latest version, only the detection result information will be displayed.
